Provide DevSecOps and Agile IT support services for operational mission support for the systems under the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Information Systems Division (ISD) portfolio. Responsibilities include analyzing science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems. This involves analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and reviewing computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. The role may also involve analyzing or recommending commercially available software, and providing analysis and design of business systems for various applications such as financial, accounting, human resources, and other enterprise systems. The analyst will handle test scripts and service requirements, working closely with end users on project development and implementation. A working knowledge of relational database environments, structured analysis, data modeling, information engineering, mathematical model building, sampling, and cost accounting is necessary for system planning. The analyst will specify system inputs, design processing steps, and format outputs to meet user needs. Additionally, preparing cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid management decisions on financial feasibility of proposed systems is part of the role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Prompt notification to the site ISSM/ISSO is required when changes occur that might affect system certifications and accreditations. Ensuring the site Configuration Management plan correlates to the process steps in the system development life cycle is also a responsibility.
