About The Position

GDIT has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Administrator supporting Worldwide Field Sustainment operations in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will support mission critical government systems through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, patching, security compliance, and sustainment of Windows server and VMware virtual environments. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated technical professional with strong enterprise systems administration experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with four years of experience, or eight years of equivalent technical experience without a degree.
  • Minimum of eight years of enterprise systems administration experience.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, VMware vSphere and Horizon, patch management, RMF, and STIG compliance.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual Windows server environments.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise IT services.
  • Perform system upgrades, patch management, software installations, and hardware refresh activities.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure reliable operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex system and infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and operational reports.
  • Support backup, recovery, continuity, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Implement and maintain RMF and STIG compliance requirements.
  • Conduct vulnerability remediation, system audits, and security reviews.
  • Administer and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and Horizon environments.
  • Administer Dell Wyse ThinOS thin client environments and deployments.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders.
