About The Position

This position, located at Dyess AFB, Texas operates, maintains and modifies complex hardware and software systems, subsystems for customers to use and to meet the needs of the unit while complying with all U.S. Air Force Regulations, and MAJCOM and/or local procedures. This is a Department of Labor (DOL), Service Contract Act (SCA) position. TDX Government Service (TDX-GS) is an innovative force performing a variety of industry leading services for our military and associated defense contractors. We currently provide specialized technical expertise to fulfill Range Management responsibilities and enhance Combat Training Support services across the globe. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in technical field or equivalent Vocational/Military training
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience or equivalent time towards degree
  • IAT II (Security +, and must keep this certification current)
  • US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
  • Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to read, analyze, and apply knowledge of both electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Competence in all phases of systems analysis techniques, concepts, and methods and knowledge of available system software, computer equipment, and the regulations, structure, techniques, and management practices of one or more subject-matter areas, as well as ability to recognize probable conflicts and integrating diverse data elements and sources to produce innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Computer Science highly desired
  • Preferred background in military intelligence or tactical communications

Responsibilities

  • Operates computer systems during live Combat Training Support scenarios
  • Sets up, maintains, and runs Air Combat Training Systems (ACTS) including on-range and in-house networks as well as Integrated Combat Aircrew Debriefing Systems (ICADS) and other key infrastructure as required to include new and/or upgraded hardware & software
  • Gathers information from users/computer operators and defines systemic problems
  • Guides users in formulating requirements advises alternative solutions
  • Specifies number/types of records, files, & documents to be produced and/or stored
  • May be required to support COMSEC mandates
  • Ensure compliance with TDX Quality Control and Safety Programs
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program manager
