We are seeking a Computer System Analyst III/Audio Visual Systems Engineer that serves as the senior technical authority for the design, sustainment, operation, and enhancement of Audio, Visual, Lighting, and Videoconferencing (AVLVC) systems across the customer’s facilities. This role provides engineering-level oversight and planning for enterprise AVLVC systems, supports large-scale training and leadership environments, and ensures mission-critical classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums operate as designed. The position bridges operational support, system engineering, strategic planning, and stakeholder coordination, while also covering Audio Visual Specialist duties as required to meet Government needs. Requirements

  • Must have at a minimum 10+ years of experience with the design, development, implementation, installation, operations and sustainment of AVL-VC systems for large and small facilities.
  • Must have and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Possess a current InfoComm International - Certified Technology Specialist-General Certification (CTS).
  • Must have 10+ years of verifiable Digital Sound Processor (DSP), Digital Projection and Digital display, Control Systems Equipment Installation and Operations experience (from resume).
  • Must have the physical ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, lift and push while performing various job tasks.
  • Must be physically able and comfortable working at heights (catwalks, lifts, etc.), in dimly lit venues, and around restricted/tight spaces when necessary. Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Excellent visual acuity and hearing required.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and schematic line drawings.

  • A BA/BS in a technology related field desired but is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as the Audio Visual Systems Engineer, ensuring AVL‑VC systems function as designed.
  • Provide AVL‑VC sustainment and operational support for approximately 425 classrooms, conference rooms, and auditoriums, including specialized videoconferencing spaces.
  • Ensure the customer is notified within four (4) hours of any AVL‑VC systems unable to perform as designed.
  • Sustain and operate Senior Leadership AVL‑VC systems, ensuring priority repair timelines are met or customer‑approved delays are obtained.
  • Develop and execute post‑wide plans for AVL‑VC system sustainment, operations, and enhancements, including conceptual designs and cost estimates.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and corrective repairs are performed to maintain system reliability and availability.
  • Meet repair timelines for Senior Leadership and non‑Senior Leadership systems in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Configure, integrate, and support AV control and signal systems, including platforms such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, matrix mixers, and switchers.
  • Troubleshoot wired and wireless data networks supporting AVL‑VC systems and develop detailed problem statements for network support personnel.
  • Provide expert guidance to ensure systems are configured and operated according to technical standards and design specifications.
  • Conduct needs assessments and site surveys for AVL‑VC and related technology systems across the installation.
  • Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates based on customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with customer and other stakeholders to support Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and oversee technology system projects and upgrades.
  • Participate in planning meetings for large‑scale and special events to determine AVL‑VC requirements.
  • Develop event support plans for review and approval.
  • Remain on‑site during major events to operate systems or provide technical guidance to ensure flawless AVL‑VC performance.
  • Provide user training on the proper operation and basic maintenance of AVL‑VC systems.
  • Guide operators and support staff to ensure consistent and correct system usage.
  • Cover Audio Visual Specialist duties as required to meet Government operational needs.
  • Coordinate with Government staff, operators, and technical teams to ensure rapid issue resolution and system restoration.
  • Maintain a daily log of all work performed.
  • Create and manage SharePoint and AESMP tickets for reported issues through resolution and close‑out.
  • Provide monthly status reports detailing completed work and pending actions.
  • Propose a work log format for review and approval within required timelines.
