This position involves inventorying, documenting, and inspecting various hardware and software computer systems. The role ensures compliance with Company IT policies and procedures, identifies non-compliance, and recommends corrective actions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware (systems and peripherals) and software (operating systems and applications), excluding servers. The technician will inventory new equipment, install and test hardware and software, deploy new computers, and assist with office moves. Cleaning and maintaining computers, printers, and other office equipment is also part of the role. The position requires proficiency in word processors, spreadsheets, and various other applications, as well as researching, ordering, and tracking parts. Maintaining logs, files, and submitting reports to supervisors are essential duties. Familiarity with network cable installation, RJ45 and RJ11 connections, reading/creating network diagrams, hand tools, soldering, and crimping procedures are preferred. The role directly supports manufacturing software and initiatives, as well as the internal phone system and users. Assisting with report writing and performing related duties as required are also expected.
