About The Position

DecisionPoint is seeking experienced Computer Support Administrators to provide user-level support for the main Air Force networks NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and the Air Force Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (AFSCI) network. The individual will be specifically tasked to support the 567 COG, but will be imbedded with the 92 COS at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland (JBSA-Lackland) in San Antonio, Texas. Work involves troubleshooting network issues, coordinating with the Base Comm office to resolve some issues, installing workstations, pulling cables, replacing monitors, etc. This position is onsite at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA).

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Clearance Required
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience related to Computer Support Technician (CST) or Computer Support Administrator (CSA) support on similar networks to NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and AFSCI/JWICS.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Work Role Code 411 Intermediate or Advanced certification (current)
  • Possess, or be willing to obtain within 6-months of start date, an additional certification related to Microsoft Windows or Networking

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) networks - USAF Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC)
  • Experience using the Remedy & ServiceNow Ticketing System
  • Experience in tracing lines, copper and fiber.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory object creation, deletion, and attributes.
  • Experience with administrative tasks in support of asset management such as notification of equipment location changes to the Equipment Custodian

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 support for networks such as the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), and the Air Force Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (AFSCI) network.
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft 365 Windows based computer network operations.
  • Experience installing, relocating, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop computers, laptops, thin clients, and printers.
  • Experience in updating, patching, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows based systems.
  • Experience loading, configuring, and troubleshooting software applications.
  • Must be responsive and able to interact with the users - experience in a customer-facing role and excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to perform with little to no supervision.
  • Experience monitoring and responding to internal support requests submitted to ticketing system and escalate irresolvable issues to appropriate department for resolution.
  • May also need to pull cables to support the installation of new workspaces.
