About The Position

Delta Point is seeking motivated Computer Scientists and Software Developers to support a high-visibility U.S. Army project at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. The role is open to recent college graduates and early-career professionals as well as experienced candidates. Professional experience is not required; relevant internships, coursework, capstone projects, personal projects, and demonstrated coding abilities may be considered. Candidates must have an active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to demonstrate programming skills and hands-on AI development experience. The position involves developing and maintaining software applications, integrating AI/ML capabilities, and supporting front-end and back-end development, data processing, and database integration. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams on software solutions supporting Army missions and follow software development best practices in a secure DoD environment.

Requirements

Active DoD security clearance; the description specifies an active Secret clearance is required for consideration.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated programming ability, preferably in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML development, including building, implementing, or integrating AI-powered applications.
Ability to demonstrate coding and AI development skills through employment, internships, academic projects, GitHub repositories, or personal projects.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a technical development environment.
No minimum years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
Develop and integrate AI/ML solutions, models, and APIs into software applications.
Write, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize code to improve application performance and functionality.
Support front-end and back-end development, including database integration and data processing.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop software solutions supporting Army missions.
Participate in software testing, code reviews, documentation, and system integration.
Apply software development best practices within a secure DoD environment.
