About The Position

ASRC Federal Advanced Research LLC (AFAR) is seeking a Computer Scientist to join its Tower Data Link System (TDLS) team, which supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). TDLS is a National Airspace System automation system that delivers digital pre-departure clearances and other terminal services to flight deck crews and airline dispatch computers, reducing lengthy voice read-backs over congested radio frequencies. The role involves researching, designing, developing, testing, evaluating, and maintaining integrated computer hardware and software systems. The Computer Scientist will support software projects throughout the design lifecycle, develop software that interfaces with external devices, and debug and test complex systems. The work takes place in a cubicle environment, with a standard flexible work schedule and travel to the FAA customer of less than 10 (unit not specified) and at will.
