About The Position

AnaVation is seeking motivated undergraduate students for its 2027 Summer Internship Program. This ten-week paid, remote internship offers opportunities in software design, coding, debugging, cybersecurity, and data science. The program combines mentoring, learning activities, and project work to provide exposure to a government contracting small business and IT development. Interns will engage in customization and creativity on practical and challenging business assignments. The program includes a Lunch & Learn series with company leadership and professional/career development workshops.

Requirements

Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
Computer Science Major with a targeted graduation date of May 2028.
Excellent analytical and math skills.
Ability to work in teams.
Minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Computer literacy; proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated work ethic, goal-oriented, and history of academic success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinker, leader, team player, and self-managed learner.

Nice To Haves

Experience with a group programming project.
Experience with Agile Processes, especially Scrum.
Proficient in Java and Python.
Experience with Front End and/or Back End development.
Experience with NodeJS.
Experience with GIT.
Experience with Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Developing software projects as a hobby.

Responsibilities

Apply cybersecurity techniques for offensive and defensive missions.
Create custom software applications, from ideation through development and testing.
Develop technology demonstrations using commercial cloud infrastructures like AWS and Microsoft Azure.
Assess new application ideas.
Research competitor offerings.
Develop applications (coding, programming) and demonstrate a prototype to company leadership at the end of the internship.
