The University of Saint Joseph invites qualified applicants to serve as part-time adjunct faculty within the Mathematics and Computer Science Department. The department is actively recruiting adjunct faculty for the Fall 2026 semester to teach on-campus, in-person sections of the following course: COMP117: Innovation and Technology (3 credits). COMP117 is a general education course that satisfies the university competency requirement in Information Technology and attracts students from a wide range of majors. One of the important goals is to spark students’ interest in computing and introduce them to the opportunities offered by the Computer Science program. The Mathematics and Computer Science Department in the School of Arts, Sciences, Business and Education offers B.S. degrees in Mathematics (with concentrations including Actuarial Science) and Computer Science (with concentrations including Data Science and Software development). In addition to serving Mathematics and Computer Science majors, the department offers an undergraduate certificate in data analytics and provides service courses for a variety of majors and programs across the university.
