About The Position

LATG is seeking a Computer Programmer I to join our growing technical team in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role supports the development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software applications and systems while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and secure technology solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to contribute to innovative projects that support both internal and customer-driven initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with PrimeFaces Framework and modern web application frameworks such as JSF, Angular, React, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of RedHat Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) or similar enterprise application platforms.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes, including GitLab and/or AWS CI/CD services.
  • Proficiency using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as JetBrains IntelliJ or similar development tools.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and concepts, including JUnit and object mocking methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of GIT distributed version control systems or similar source code management tools.
  • Experience developing applications using Java EE and Hibernate Framework.
  • Ability to apply knowledge gained through both formal training and hands-on professional experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to earn it within 6 months of hire).
  • Basic understanding of: Computers and operating systems (Windows/Linux), Networking fundamentals, Cybersecurity basics and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum development environments
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Experience writing or maintaining technical documentation

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications
  • Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues
  • Support coding tasks across multiple applications and environments
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards
  • Support documentation of technical processes, systems, and application changes
  • Work within established configuration management and change control processes
  • Follow secure coding practices and organizational cybersecurity requirements
