About The Position

CACI is seeking a Computer Operator IV to join their team in support of the Records Administration & Management Services (RAMS) program and BUPERS/NPC Force Management (FM) and the MyNavyHR Enterprise. This role involves the utilization of computers to analyze and solve business, scientific, engineering, and other technical problems. The Computer Operator IV will operate machines that record, store, process, and transcribe data, program computer languages for various functions, and manage the storage and retrieval of computer files. A key responsibility includes assisting the BUPERS-071 NMCI operations staff with command messaging public folders on the NMCI network, checking the NMCI SIPRNET for secure messages, routing them appropriately, and deleting duplicates. The role also involves transferring messaging duty phones at specific times and logging these transfers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Technical support experience
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience supporting MyNavyHR Enterprise

Responsibilities

  • Operate electronic, optical, and electromechanical machines that record, store, process, and transcribe data from magnetic tape or other sources to solve mathematical, engineering, accounting, or technical problems, to keep records or to supply information.
  • Program computer languages to perform mathematical, engineering and scientific computations or auditing, payroll, mailing list and text handling functions.
  • Store and retrieve computer files.
  • Assist the BUPERS-071 NMCI operations staff in creating, routing and maintaining all command messaging public folders on the NMCI network per Navy Telecommunications Publications (NTP) 3 and Navy Admin Manual (NAVADMIN) 0160-470.
  • Check the NMCI Secure Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNET) for secure messages and route to the appropriate folders.
  • Delete duplicate messages before posting to the NMCI message folders.
  • Transfer messaging duty phones to the EMPRS Operation Center at 1700 hours.
  • Transfer the phones back at 0600 hours Monday through Friday.
  • Log transfers into the Message Center log book.
