About The Position

The technicians are to assist in the development, installation, and maintenance of new technology being installed. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance and troubleshooting; daily machine inspection and maintenance to include blade replacements, calibration, sensor inspection and cleaning, greasing, and testing; work with plant management to make desired programming changes to keep machine functions current with product specifications; ensure proper shut-down and protection prior to night sanitation; diagnose and correct machine problems as they occur; act as a liaison between vendors/service technicians for new equipment, plant management and corporate automation. Other duties include: ensure adequate spare parts are in supply; log machine performance and keep current manuals and other documentation for new machinery; provide necessary training for staff. The technician will ensure the maintenance of the equipment and the operation of the new technology being installed and train the maintenance staff. Hours and Days off will be discussed in the interview.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year or more electrical and electronics experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulics and motor controls.
  • Ability to read a blueprint and electrical schematic.
  • Safety knowledge and skills.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
