Computer Audit Technician (Internal)

About The Position

PlanITROI is seeking Computer Audit Technicians to join its Production Department. The role involves wiping, testing, imaging, and configuring computer equipment to meet company standards. Technicians use diagnostic tools to identify defects and may order parts when repairs are cost-effective. Equipment includes laptops, desktops, tablets, cell phones, and Apple and Microsoft products. This is a temp-to-perm position with a 90-day conversion. Scheduled hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

Proficiency in computer hardware and software, including BIOS configuration and upgrade utilities.
Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various IT issues.
Experience configuring, maintaining, and upgrading PC workstations and peripherals.
Ability to explain technical and non-technical concepts clearly, verbally and in writing.
Exceptional attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Relevant education or training in computer auditing or quality control.
A+ certification.

Responsibilities

Wipe, test, image, and reconfigure IT equipment to meet specified standards.
Use diagnostic software to identify defective equipment and order parts when repair is cost-effective.
Upgrade, configure, and test computer hardware and peripherals.
Collaborate with the Production Team to complete projects and support smooth operations.
Record configuration details, audit results, and cosmetic information accurately in the production database.
Assist in establishing and implementing standards and policies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure inventory is placed correctly both physically and within the system.
Contribute to the organization and upkeep of the technical facility.
Perform other tasks as assigned to support the team and company goals.
