About The Position
Westinghouse is hiring a paid, full-time hybrid Computer Aided Engineering Intern for the summer, based at its Cranberry facility. The intern will support the development and implementation of computer-aided engineering tools and methods for engineering design and analysis. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate tools into existing workflows, creates and maintains models, scripts, and simulations, supports testing and validation, and helps document best practices and standards. The intern reports to the Computer Aided Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering.
- Completed sophomore year of college.
- Experience with CAD.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and methods to support engineering design and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CAE tools into existing workflows and processes.
- Help create and maintain CAE models, scripts, and simulations.
- Support the testing and validation of CAE tools and methods.
- Help document CAE best practices and standards.
