Uses Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other analysis methods to assess and lead seat STO and designs. Develops Finite Element Analysis (FEA) plans for assigned project. Participates in the creation of assigned subsystem Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models. Motivates CAE suppliers and internal resources to meet program milestones and deliverables. Completes FEA analysis including the production of VDDV models from NX math and execution of documented VDDV models per assigned projects. Performs FEA analysis such as H Point/TA, seat comfort analysis using pressure distribution, Seat/Seat Belt Anchorage Strength, Child Restraint Anchorage Strength, Front/Rear Impact, Head Impact, whiplash etc., and lead seat STO and designs to meet performance requirements. Compares FEA results to performance requirements and recommend viable design solutions. Correlates analysis results to physical test and update FEA models and FEA procedures and document results in FEA reports. Generates technical solutions for current, new, and major programs. Performs sophisticated design analysis. Develops engineering designs, including subsystems. Performs virtual assessment of designs and compare results to performance requirements.
