This is a CT/X-Ray Tech position, primarily focused on CT, but X-ray experience is also required. The technologist will perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking, with the initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. Responsibilities may include assigned independent duties by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or NARH Facility Director. Proper client care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures is essential. The role may involve supervision or instruction of department personnel. Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and Tiger Text formats are necessary. The technologist must practice infection control in compliance with departmental, hospital policies, and OSHA standards, and maintain patient confidentiality. Proficiency in operating PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems is required, as is the ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications. Annual mandatory education, including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation, must be completed, and department competencies maintained. Technologists will perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections.
