About The Position

The CT Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures on all patient populations (neonate through geriatric). The CT Technologist will exhibit superior levels of customer service. The CT technologist effectively operates CT equipment to produce quality images in a variety of settings (Radiology Department, Emergency Department and the Emergency Department. The technologist explains procedures to the patient, demonstrates and uses appropriate protocols and obtains optimum images of specified anatomy. The technologist demonstrates effective radiation safety practices and assists the Radiologist, when necessary. The technologist interacts with numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered or registry eligible Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT License
  • CT Certification or Certification eligible
  • Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Kansas State License

Nice To Haves

  • One year hospital radiology experience preferred
  • Weekend Requirements: Discussed at interview
  • On Call Requirements: Possible
