About The Position

Executes a wide range of routine operating tasks, applying established methods to keep equipment available and data accurate. Resolves common issues by selecting from known options and preparing thorough tickets for escalation when needed. The EI&C Technician modifies, repairs, and overhauls electronic and electrical equipment and controls. This role applies knowledge of electronic principles to determine equipment malfunctions and uses technical skills to restore equipment to proper operation. The position requires working independently with minimal supervision, working outside normal business hours, responding to call-outs, and potentially working assigned shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to apply judgment to routine operational or mechanical issues.
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve station efficiency or reliability.
• Ability to independently perform routine operating or maintenance tasks within defined parameters.
• Knowledge of normal and abnormal operating conditions.
• Skill in coordinating work with other operators, technicians, or trades.
• Skill in interpreting operating data, alarms, and basic mechanical or process indicators.
• Working knowledge of compressor station systems, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Starts, stops, and operates compressor units and auxiliary systems; adjusts within prescribed limits to maintain flow and pressure.
• Performs routine checks on engines, compressors, separators, coolers, and dehydration equipment; documents results.
• Replaces basic components (filters, gaskets) and replenishes fluids following standard procedures.
• Uses supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to verify operating status and enter notes as directed.
• Collects gas samples or moisture readings when required and routes them or logs per procedure.
• Responds to routine alarms by executing predefined steps and communicating conditions to senior personnel.
• Assists with planned maintenance windows (equipment preparations, isolation support, post‑start checks).
• Maintains tidy tool and parts areas; updates inventory counts for consumables used during routine tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
