About The Position

The Compressor Mechanic position supports the maintenance, repair, and operation of one or more compressor units and associated equipment. This role is responsible for assisting with compressor packages, performing preventive maintenance (PMs), and providing operational feedback to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance. The position requires entry-level to intermediate diagnostic and repair skills and may involve supporting other field locations and mechanics as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of gas processes and motor-driven compressors (e.g., Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience or training related to compression processes, production, or equipment
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of compressor packages, components, and systems
  • Basic understanding of applicable safety procedures and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug test, and MVR check.

Nice To Haves

  • OEM training, trade school certification, or comparable work experience in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of compressor packages and related equipment
  • Support the operation and performance monitoring of compressor units
  • Provide feedback and reporting on compressor package performance and operating conditions
  • Plan, organize, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities and other maintenance tasks
  • Perform basic diagnostic and repair activities under guidance as needed
  • Assist senior mechanics and provide support to other field locations when required
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication
