Comprehensive Scheduler I (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Faculty Physicians
About The Position
The Comprehensive Scheduler I possesses extensive scheduling expertise across Temple Faculty Physicians (TFP) and Hospital Systems. This role acts as a liaison to various internal and external entities, including TFP, TUH, Fox Chase, Jeanes, TPI, SNF's, and Unions. The scheduler participates in Value Based Programs to ensure patients receive continuous appointments and are linked to appropriate follow-up care post-discharge from hospital stays. Responsibilities also include all scheduling functions related to telehealth and serving as an in-house registration expert. The scheduler collaborates across teams to ensure integration and works closely with Leadership to achieve core missions related to patient access. Furthermore, the scheduler builds relationships with administration and external scheduling/messaging vendors in conjunction with their manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year experience working in a medical setting or in a relevant customer service role
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare related program
- General Experience with the TFP scheduling system and EPIC
Responsibilities
- Has a broad range of scheduling expertise across TFP and Hospital Systems
- Serves as liaison to internal and external entities, including, but not limited to TFP, TUH, Fox Chase, Jeanes, TPI, SNF's, Unions
- Participates in Value Based Programs to ensure patients receive continuity appointments and link patients post d/c from hospital stays to appropriate follow-up care
- Participates in all scheduling functions related to telehealth
- Serves as in house registration experts
- Collaboratively crosses teams to ensure that all teams are integrated and work closely with Leadership to ensure the core missions related to access are met
- Works with their manager to build relationships with administration and outside scheduling / messaging vendors
