About The Position

We’re hiring an experienced Compounding Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for preparing bulk formulations and ensuring all materials, equipment, and environments meets strict sterility and quality standards. This role is located in our Branchburg, NJ and Allentown, NJ locations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be willing to work established shifts (as well as overtime as needed)
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Experience with mechanical devices, tools, and testing equipment required.
  • Utilize technology (laptop and computer software (Microsoft Office)) to perform administrative duties as required.
  • High level of professionalism accompanied with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must have excellent time management skills, being able to prioritize multiple priorities at one time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adjust to and meet changing priorities.
  • Make good business judgments and decisions in relation to efficiency and effectiveness while meeting daily service expectations.
  • Must have the ability to evaluate situations, good problem-solving skills, and prioritize factors in decision making.
  • Must be dependable and punctual.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of compounding experience in a manufacturing sterilization/chemical environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and dispense raw materials according to batch records and standard operating procedures
  • Mix and compound solutions, suspensions, or emulsions using industrial equipment
  • Follow precise formulas to ensure batch-to-batch consistency
  • Monitor critical parameters such as temperature, pH, and mixing speed
  • Document all steps in Batch Production Records (BPR’s)
  • Prepare and sterilize equipment, components, and materials using such methods such as: steam sterilization, dry heat sterilization, filtration and/or chemical sterilants (where applicable)
  • Operate and monitor autoclaves and sterilization systems
  • Load/unload sterilization equipment following validated procedures
  • Perform integrity testing
  • Work in controlled environments
  • Follow aseptic gowning procedures and contamination control practices
  • Maintain sterile workspaces
  • Conduct environmental monitoring support (surface sampling/air sampling)
  • Adhere to Food and Drug Administration Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Follow standards from the International Organization for Standardization (e.g., ISO 14644 cleanroom standards)
  • Maintain accurate logs for sterilization, batch cycles and deviations
  • Participate in validation activities (for equipment and sterilization processes)
  • Unloading as well as packaging and shipping of product
  • Reporting any damaged product to the Process Supervisor/Manager
  • Storing and removing chemicals used in processing in accordance with established procedures and laws
  • Participates in plant safety committees and follows all established safety rules and regulations
  • Actively identify and propose enhancements to processes, systems or procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assists with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
