About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Gilbert, Arizona. This role supports pharmacy operations through compounding activities, prescription fulfillment, and medication preparation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain: Arizona Pharmacy Technician License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (NHA or PTCB)
  • New Jersey Board of Pharmacy (NJBOP) Pharmacy Technician License

Nice To Haves

  • Current Pharmacy Technician License and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy equipment, inventory systems, and pharmacy software.
  • Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
  • Knowledge of prescription processing and compounding procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform medication compounding and preparation activities in accordance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Utilize knowledge of drug identification, generic alternatives, dosage calculations, and compounding techniques.
  • Operate compounding equipment and adhere to regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Interpret and process prescription orders received through written or verbal communication.
  • Create and maintain accurate patient profiles, including demographic, medical, and medication history information.
  • Accurately fill prescriptions, apply patient-specific labels, and package medications according to established procedures and partner specifications.
  • Retrieve medications and supplies for medication prescription fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply shortages to supervisors.
  • Restock supplies and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Operate pharmacy equipment, including printers and labeling systems.
  • Utilize pharmacy management systems and related technology effectively.
  • Perform accurate medication calculations and basic mathematical functions.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and team members to ensure timely and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compliance standards.
