About The Position

Vertisis Custom Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join its Front-End Pharmacy Operations team in Scottsdale. This is a non-retail compounding pharmacy role supporting physicians, medical practices, patients, pharmacists, and the internal teams responsible for moving customized prescriptions accurately and efficiently from receipt through fulfillment and delivery. Requirements

  • Arizona Pharmacy Technician Trainee License required.
  • Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience.
  • Prior customer service, data entry, call-center, or other high-volume transactional experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a process-driven environment.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software and workflow systems quickly.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and role boundaries.

Nice To Haves

  • PTCB certification.
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience.
  • Experience in compounding, specialty, mail-order, clinical, or another non-retail pharmacy setting.
  • Experience working directly with physicians or medical-office personnel.
  • Experience with PK Software or comparable pharmacy-management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and provide professional customer service to physicians, medical practices, patients, couriers, and internal teams.
  • Receive prescriptions and accurately enter required data into pharmacy software.
  • Support prescription filling and medication preparation activities within technician scope and assigned workflow.
  • Prepare labels, logs, transaction records, and required documentation.
  • Assist with physician and courier medication pickups.
  • Process transactions through the Point of Sale system.
  • Prepare orders and materials for shipment and support shipping workflow.
  • Stock shipping and front-end supplies and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Maintain clean, organized, professional, and compliant work areas.
  • Communicate missing information, delays, exceptions, or concerns to the appropriate pharmacist or leader.
  • Participate in cross-training and provide coverage across front-end workstations as needed.
  • Perform other pharmacy support responsibilities within training, licensure, policy, and scope.
