About The Position

Red Rock Pharmacy is a fast-growing Long-Term Care Pharmacy looking for a Full-Time Compounding Pharmacist for the Salt Lake area. We are seeking a hard-working, organized, problem-solving pharmacist with great attention to detail. Experience in long-term care pharmacy is preferred, but not required so long as the applicant is willing to learn.

Requirements

• Active pharmacist license in the State of Utah, and in good standing
• Active Controlled Substance license
• Knowledge of compounding regulations and standards
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism

Nice To Haves

• Previous compounding experience preferred (sterile and/or non-sterile)
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Preparing, mixing, and formulating medications customized to patient-specific requirements.
• Working in cleanroom environments to create sterile products (injections, eye drops) following strict aseptic techniques.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to develop tailored therapies and providing consultations to patients on customized drugs.
• Ensuring all formulations adhere to USP <795> (non-sterile), USP <797> (sterile), and USP <800> (hazardous drugs) standards.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with FDA, DEA, and state board of pharmacy regulations.
• Overseeing pharmacy technicians engaged in the compounding process to ensure accuracy and safety.
