About The Position
This position involves the safe and accurate mixing of chemical blends using various equipment and adhering to work orders. The Compounder is responsible for handling chemicals, operating blending machinery, calculating batch requirements, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. A strong understanding of chemical identification, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and commitment to quality systems like ISO9001 are essential.
Requirements
- Ability to use a hand truck to move skids of chemicals
- Capability to identify different types of chemicals
- Ability to fill and operate the feeder system at the Henschel blender and small adds station
- Ability to operate the Henschel blender to mix chemical blends
- Understanding of how to use digital scales for weighing chemicals
- Ability to determine Henschel blend needs per work order and calculate required batches
- Ability to determine small adds needed per work order and calculate required bags
- Knowledge of proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment required for this position
- Ability to properly label all containers of chemicals
- Ability to keep work area clean and free of safety hazards
- Commitment to ISO9001 and Continuous Improvement
- Ability to identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system
Responsibilities
