About The Position

Sensient is growing!! The Natural Color Conversion is here!! We are adding an Compound Lab Technician to our team. The Compound Lab Technician will be instrumental in creating color samples for our customers that will ultimately lead to new business for Sensient.

Requirements

Ability to learn general lab techniques.
Ability to prioritize.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to perform efficiently and amicably while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare samples using appropriate equipment from bench top to pilot scale quantities per written procedures.
Generate work orders using JDE Enterprise software system.
Perform testing on prototype and finished good samples following standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
Perform a variety of laboratory wet chemical tests using written methods and procedures.
Use of general laboratory equipment including pipets, burets, KF titrator, colorimeter, UV-Vis, and analytical balances.
Approve, adjust, and reject samples, following product guidelines and specifications. Record results on every sample analyzed using lab software and databases.
Maintain virtual and physical inventory of raw materials so compounded samples can be produced as needed, including occasional cycle-counts.
Provide back up for other Sample Room functions, including Sample Coordinator, and Sample Technician positions.
Ensure the highest level of commitment to Safe Quality Food (SQF) to provide assurance that all products have been prepared, tested and handled according to the highest possible standards.
