Composting & Organics Feasibility Consultant
About The Position
AlphaGov is engaging a Composting & Organics Feasibility Consultant for current county work studying source-separated organics for a county composting facility. The consultant will characterize organic waste streams and collection options; assess composting and anaerobic digestion technologies and facility capacity; develop cost, revenue, and market analyses; and review permitting and recommend implementation. The consultant may also contribute qualifications and past-performance narratives to AlphaGov proposals when authorized to be named as an expert collaborator or key personnel. AlphaGov confirms the scope, schedule, and fee with the consultant before an engagement begins. Engagements are project-based, remote-first, and may involve occasional client travel.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in solid waste or organics management planning.
- Experience with composting or organics facility feasibility.
- Comfortable working as a 1099 project-based consultant.
Nice To Haves
- NYSDEC Part 360/361 experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- US Composting Council certification.
