Compositing Supervisor

The Role You will be a guiding and collaborative force for all aspects of compositing workflows at Untold Studios. You will make sure that compositing on jobs runs consistently smoothly using the latest workflows agreed with key stakeholders in the Compositing department, as well as upstream and downstream departments using Untold Studios’ VFX Pipeline. You have a history of delivering outstanding work and have a deep working knowledge of a range of industry software and standards. Using your experience you will provide workflow and technical support to your team and lay down long-term development goals. You will work alongside the Head of Composting and Heads of VFX to help establish and maintain efficient compositing workflows across all projects. As a respected leader you keep yourself and your colleagues highly motivated. We are committed to supporting you and your ongoing development. We will work closely with you to establish your personal progression plan. You are never on your own.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of compositing workflows at Untold Studios
- bringing consistency to projects
- Spearheading onboarding for the department
- Working closely with the Heads of Compositing to ensure the Compositing department is well-integrated with the rest of the studio
- Maintaining a working knowledge of a range of compositing software
- Having an in depth understanding of Colour Pipeline throughout the studio, from Transcoding to Final Grading
- Developing robust production methodologies and ensuring consistency
- Managing compositing workflows on projects of varying sizes
- Collaborating with other Compositing Supervisors within the studio
- Communicating regularly with key departments such as VFX, Production, Technology and Pipeline
- Maintaining a clear line of communication with VFX Supervisors and Creative Directors on projects
- Being an ambassador for Untold Studios, through attending industry events, producing publications, public speaking and outreach opportunities
