The Manufacturing Composite Technician is responsible for planning, laying out, and performing a wide range of manufacturing operations to fabricate, assemble, repair, and develop composite parts, assemblies, tooling, fixtures, molds, and related components used in the aerospace industry. Working independently and as part of self-directed teams, the technician performs tasks with minimal supervision while adhering to engineering specifications, work instructions, process documentation, quality standards, and established manufacturing methods. This role involves preparing materials, cutting and kitting composite materials, lay-up, vacuum bagging, curing, trimming, bonding, assembly, inspection, and finishing of composite components for both production and developmental programs. The technician is responsible for ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements. The Manufacturing Composite Technician operates a variety of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and manufacturing equipment, maintains a clean and organized work area, and actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strict compliance with aerospace quality standards, environmental health and safety requirements, and company policies while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality aerospace products.
