About The Position

This role involves supporting sales with new proposals, including costing, design, and scheduling. The engineer will participate in facility layout and process flow development, and implement process control techniques. A key responsibility is continuously analyzing manufacturing process flows to enhance quality, reduce costs, and increase output. The position requires collaboration with program engineering on product tooling and design for effective production methods, and close work with the manufacturing department to develop and implement build plans and create technical training. The engineer will also design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, including related fixtures and tooling, aiming for zero defects and low product cost. Accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with manufacturing engineering standards is essential. The role provides engineering support in the production environment to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, and supports company policies, goals, objectives, and manufacturing practices. Additionally, the engineer performs production readiness evaluation and producibility assessment of all engineering changes.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales with new proposals, including costing, design efforts and scheduling
  • Participate in facility layout and process flow

  • Analyzes manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and output
  • Collaborates with program engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods
  • Works closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement manufacturing build plans and create technical training for employees
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, new products, related fixtures & tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost
  • Creates and maintains accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the manufacturing engineering standards
  • Provides engineering support in production environment to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems
