About The Position

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a Composite Assembler I - 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Westminster MD facility and is responsible for supporting the manufacturing and production of high-precision aerospace composite components. The role contributes directly to the creation of advanced hardware that enables the safety of warfighters, supports first responders, and makes possible critical applications including aviation, space exploration, and satellite operations. Working within a high-performance manufacturing environment, this position ensures adherence to quality standards, established processes, and operational efficiency in the fabrication and assembly of composite structures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • HS Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology
  • Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Previous experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathes, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Completing training and enacting all steps required to fabricate and assemble a composite pressure vessel
  • Preparing/ completing set up of your machine
  • Mixing and preparing chemicals and resins
  • Loading and unloading ovens
  • Meeting daily output requirements
  • Performing proper checks and procedures to ensure quality product
  • Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
  • Complying with all work and process instructions.
  • Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Lifting up to and including 50 pounds.
  • Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job.
  • Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
  • Completing and maintaining their training to meet the required level of certified elements in their position.
  • Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy.
