About The Position

Light & Wonder is seeking a talented and motivated Composer/Sound Designer for its Gaming team in Las Vegas. The role creates music, sound effects, and voice and instrument recordings for land-based video slot machines played on casino hardware cabinets. The Sound Designer collaborates in a small, fast-paced team with artists, animators, software engineers, and game designers to deliver an engaging gaming experience. The successful candidate can work efficiently with others, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure. The position combines composition, sound design, audio production, recording, and implementation. The Composer/Sound Designer works iteratively with game designers and the development team, incorporates feedback from audio colleagues and leaders, maintains organized collaborative working files, archives final files using version control, and implements audio assets through proprietary or third-party middleware. The role offers the opportunity to grow in areas such as mixing, implementation, and recording. Because Light & Wonder operates in regulated gaming and lottery businesses, employees may be required to obtain a gaming or other license, undergo background investigations or security checks, or meet standards set by law, regulation, or contract. Employment is contingent on meeting applicable requirements and consenting to a due diligence/background investigation, to the extent permitted by law. Light & Wonder is an equal opportunity employer.
