About The Position

Metal Sales is part of the Cornerstone Building Brands family, strengthening our commitment to serving our communities where we live, work, and play with quality and innovative metal building solutions. This role prepares estimates from information received such as contract drawings, specifications, and addendums using in-house pricing software, supplemental design and pricing programs and information obtained from vendors. The Estimator identifies exclusions, discrepancies, and missing information, obtaining clarification and qualifying the quotation based on that information. They provide adds, deducts, or alternates as requested to estimates that require special pricing beyond the current capabilities of the pricing software, and ensures the use of the most current pricing information when preparing the estimate. This role also builds and maintains Builder/Vendor relationships and communicates with Builders, Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering regarding any clarification of scope/design intent. The Estimator manages and prioritizes multiple workflows simultaneously, continually improves productivity and accuracy, and understands their role in the overall system, being willing to step outside that role. This position reports to the Estimating Manager. Travel is not typical, however for training purposes it may be requested.

Requirements

Good mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workflows simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods
Ability to review and interpret project specifications
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Exhibit competency of in-house design programs and procedures
Must be comfortable on the phone with customers and Field Sales
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

Nice To Haves

Blue Beam, Top View, or AutoCAD experience preferred

Responsibilities
