About The Position

The Component Reclaim operator performs non-routine, close-tolerance production duties and minor machine setups, general maintenance, and housekeeping. The role involves making decisions that affect product and service quality and requires regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the operator supports safe operations, continuous improvement, and a positive, ownership-oriented workplace.

Ability to perform non-routine, close-tolerance production duties.
Ability to make decisions affecting the quality of products and services.
Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull materials.
Ability to effectively perform similar positions on the production floor as needed.
Exemplary work attendance.
Follow safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.

Responsibilities

Sub-assemble components.
Use arbor presses to install small press-fit components.
Solder materials.
Use a speed lathe to sand parts.
Perform final testing and balance components.
Use test and balancing equipment, a drill press, miscellaneous hand tools, and threading machinery to repair threads.
Transport finished components to the final assembly line using rolling carts.
Use air and hand tools.
Perform setups, material handling, and minor general maintenance.
Perform similar floor positions as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement and help develop work instructions and train operators.
Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
Follow safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Maintain exemplary attendance and promote a positive working environment.
Support Open Book Management and the responsibilities of employee ownership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
