About The Position

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. This is a full-time, permanent position for a Component Rebuild Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) – Off Road (Journeyperson). The role involves working local and requires a commitment to Sureway's values. The technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment to the highest standards, conducting performance and quality checks, and performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls. Requirements

Full Complement of Hand Tools
Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent
Must have between (5) and (10) years' Journeyperson experience
Off Road experience is REQUIRED
Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu components is REQUIRED
Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial
