Lockheed Martin Space in LM Aguadilla, PR is seeking a full-time Early Career Component Engineer. In this role, you will work on a team in a range of projects that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. You'll use your education, experience and growing expertise to drive selection of preferred PMP and maintain accurate PMP requirements in the engineering tools (PMPDB, EPDM, ERP). Working side by side with PMP subject matter experts, Procurement, Receiving Inspection and PMP manufacturers you'll develop requirements to fulfill product schedule, cost and performance requirements. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Available for full on-site work at Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related program from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience working and/or willingness to learn PMP (Parts, Materials, and Processes).
  • Basic understanding of Electrical/Electronic/Electro-mechanical (EEE) parts performance requirements and specifications.
  • Available for full on-site work at Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience successfully completing projects and/or multi-discipline team efforts by applying technical knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Documentation Engineering experience: plans and coordinates preparation of documentation to balance technical, cost and schedule needs.
  • Basic experience in software tools such as MS Office (Access, Excel, Project), SAP, is a plus.
  • Familiar with using business tools and systems for configuration management and quality control (e.g. SAP, EPDM, PMPDB, LIMS).
  • Experience using EXCEL pivot tables for data reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases is a plus.
  • Experience maintaining and manipulating SharePoint sites is desirable.
  • Experience working collaboratively with customers and teammates with a customer focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
