Requirements

  • Vocational or high school graduate required, plus an appropriate job training to perform work and acquire knowledge of assembly, testing methods and procedures.
  • Must be a sole US citizen.
  • Five thousand (5,000) hours experience required to acquire skills, dexterity, and assembly techniques, become familiar with designs, materials, tools and equipment, testing devices and instruments, in order to attain proficiency and production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies of standard or custom designs.
  • Works from detailed drawings, specifications, and/or schematics.
  • Adjusting, fitting, and aligning to meet inspection standards.
  • Solder connections to appropriate standards.
  • Daily/weekly TPM tasks must be performed with accuracy and consistency.
  • Performs other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.
