About The Position

Tanknology is a nationwide company focused on protecting the environment from fuel leaks in tanks and piping systems. The company is seeking motivated individuals to join its growing team. As a Field Service Technician Apprentice, you will learn through an apprentice-style program until certified. You will work at job sites performing testing, installations, and repairs, and use Tanknology’s proprietary TANCS software to record findings. The position offers year-round employment, training and certification, and opportunities for advancement. Starting salary for candidates new to the industry is $40,000–$52,000 plus a 5% revenue bonus, with typical first-year earnings of $54,000–$68,000 depending on location and experience. Experienced technician salaries are negotiable based on industry experience.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude; experience in a trade is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, and kneeling.
• Comfortable climbing 20-foot extension ladders multiple times daily.
• Willingness to undergo a DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check, and background check.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to travel across multiple states and occasionally stay overnight.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electrical work, carpentry, or cable technician work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and surveys.
• Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems.
• Install equipment and test tank gauge systems.
• Enter and analyze test results and communicate findings to the Operations team.
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on the company vehicle.
