About The Position

PEAC Solutions is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day ownership and administration of key components of the Company’s compliance program, with a particular focus on BSA/AML, sanctions compliance, regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, training administration, and audit support. The Compliance Specialist will report directly to the Associate General Counsel, Director of Compliance, and will independently manage assigned compliance functions with appropriate oversight. This position requires close collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Fraud, Operations, and other business functions, as well as the Company’s bank partners and other external stakeholders. The role involves managing processes for identifying, investigating, escalating, and reporting suspicious activity, administering OFAC and other sanctions-related processes, preparing regulatory filings, and conducting ongoing monitoring and testing of compliance controls. Additionally, the role will coordinate internal and external audits and examinations, manage information requests, gather documentation, track deliverables, and coordinate remediation activities. The Compliance Specialist will also administer the compliance training program, including managing employee information, assigning training, monitoring completion, and maintaining records. Support for the Compliance Committee, including preparing meeting materials and minutes, and other Legal and Compliance initiatives is also expected. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and escalate issues appropriately. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in the Mt. Laurel, NJ office and 2 days remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience, required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in compliance, BSA/AML, financial crimes, regulatory compliance, audit, fraud detection, banking, commercial lending, equipment finance, or a related financial services environment.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Company-approved BSA/AML certification within 12 months of employment and maintain such certification thereafter.
  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML requirements, OFAC/sanctions compliance, suspicious activity monitoring and reporting, and applicable KYC/customer due diligence principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicate effectively across functions, and develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet established deadlines, follow through on assigned responsibilities, and work independently with appropriate escalation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze information, identify potentially suspicious patterns or activity, and document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Own and administer assigned components of the Company’s BSA/AML and sanctions compliance programs, including transaction monitoring, investigations, SAR-related processes, OFAC review and escalation, FinCEN reporting, recordkeeping, and other applicable regulatory requirements, subject to appropriate management oversight and escalation.
  • Review and analyze potentially suspicious activity and collaborate with Fraud professionals and other internal stakeholders in connection with investigations, escalation, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
  • Serve as a primary compliance point of contact for the Company’s bank partners on assigned BSA/AML, sanctions, testing, compliance monitoring, testing, information requests, and related compliance matters, escalating material issues as appropriate.
  • Manage assigned quarterly, annual, and other periodic compliance audits, testing, and examinations, including coordinating document requests, gathering and reviewing supporting materials, tracking deadlines, communicating with stakeholders, and driving identified remediation items through completion.
  • Maintain and update assigned compliance policies, procedures, risk assessments, controls, and related documentation, identifying needed enhancements and escalating material changes for review and approval.
  • Own the day-to-day administration of the Company’s compliance training platform, including employee population updates, training assignments, completion monitoring, overdue notices, recordkeeping, and periodic reporting.
  • Manage the administrative processes supporting the Compliance Committee, including preparing and coordinating materials, maintaining records, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking follow-up items through completion.
  • Monitor relevant regulatory and industry developments, assess their potential impact on assigned compliance areas, and recommend and implement appropriate changes to policies, procedures, processes, and controls following required review and approval.
  • Collaborate effectively with Legal, Compliance, Fraud, Operations, Risk, and other business functions on compliance matters and departmental initiatives.
  • Own or contribute to other Legal and Compliance Department initiatives and projects, as assigned.
