About The Position

The Compliance Specialist implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Conducts routine monitoring, audits, and investigations to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions. Assists in maintaining documentation, preparing reports, and providing guidance to staff on compliance-related matters. At Stiiizy, we value the versatility and adaptability of our employees. While the primary focus of this role is Compliance Specialist, the successful candidate may also cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs. Hourly Rate: $22/HR

  • Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
  • Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles within the department as required.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
  • Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool.
  • Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 15 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks and interprets laws or regulations impacting the business and offers suggestions to functional managers seeking to ensure compliance.
  • Conducts periodic tests and audits of organizational operations, including verifying batch paperwork, managing inventory and state testing information, and performing label verification and auditing.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Conducts initial reviews of alleged compliance violations and escalates to executive leadership as needed.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinates, actively contributing to management through employee training, assigning job duties, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor.
  • Assists with the distribution of finished goods to ensure Manifest and labeling compliance.
  • Assists with security and facility audits to ensure proper PPE and Security measures.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter, regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment in handling team tasks and challenges.
