About The Position

Ardent is hiring a Compliance Specialist to join our growing third-party logistics (3PL) team. As a Compliance Specialist, you’ll play an important role in carrier compliance, carrier onboarding, insurance verification, safety monitoring, and risk management. You’ll research and vet motor carriers, review compliance documentation, verify insurance requirements, and work closely with our sales and operations teams to ensure the carriers we work with meet Ardent’s standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and interested in building a career in transportation compliance, logistics, freight brokerage, safety, risk management, or supply chain operations.

Nice To Haves

Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, freight brokerage, carrier compliance, DOT compliance, FMCSA regulations, insurance verification, risk management, safety, or carrier onboarding is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Research and vet motor carriers and trucking companies before approval
Review carrier safety, authority, and compliance information
Support the carrier onboarding and qualification process
Verify carrier documentation and maintain accurate compliance records
Review Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure required coverage levels are met
Monitor carrier insurance status and documentation
Review industry and carrier-monitoring platforms for safety and compliance information
Identify potential compliance, safety, and risk concerns
Maintain and regularly update carrier information within internal databases and systems
Work closely with sales and operations teams to efficiently onboard new carriers
Respond to internal questions regarding carrier eligibility and compliance
Assist with maintaining Ardent’s carrier qualification and compliance standards
Keep accurate and organized records of carrier documentation and compliance activity
Stay informed of transportation industry requirements and compliance best practices
