About The Position

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Compliance Specialist (paralegal) to support the General Counsel and in-house attorneys with compliance matters. This role operates within a fast-paced, highly collaborative Legal Department at a cutting-edge, high-tech manufacturing company. The specialist will provide critical support by assisting in the planning and implementation of programs and processes designed to protect the company and ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, local laws and regulations, as well as internal and external business codes and policies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and dependable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
  • 3+ years of direct experience with federal regulatory compliance work
  • Excellent time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both in writing and verbally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task, exercise professional discretion, and prioritize work independently.
  • Applicants must be authorized to access U.S. export control information or eligible for government authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys responsible for various areas of regulatory and internal compliance, including federal, state, and local incentives and grants, export control, and internal Samsung compliance.
  • Assist in creating and managing programs to collect and organize information and documents from internal stakeholders for regular reporting.
  • Support external and internal audits and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports, forms, applications, and other filings.
  • Perform other duties as required.
