About The Position

The Compliance Specialist shall provide direct support to the Driver Compliance Manager - Screenings in the execution of regulatory and company tasks for driver vetting and credentialing. The Specialist shall assist with ensuring the company complies with driver vetting and credentialing requirements in multiple states and markets. The Specialist shall utilize various internal and external software applications to perform their duties.

Requirements

  • Associate’s of Science or Bachelor’s of Science in any field or Bachelor’s of Art in a related field
  • One or more years’ experience of regulatory compliance in a workplace setting
  • One or more years’ experience of investigations in a workplace setting
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, CRM, MS Office suite applications.
  • Capacity to learn and use new software and custom programs.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A sense of discretion

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with regulatory agencies, law, or work in a regulated industry is preferred but not required
  • Any combination of experience working in transit, transportation, rideshare service, etc. preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Driver Compliance Manager - Screenings in the execution of background check screenings of driver applicants and active drivers across multiple states.
  • Utilize third-party services to screen new and existing drivers for criminal history, driving violations, and other background checks as required by law.
  • Analyze results, compile findings, and decide driver eligibility using guidance documents and individualized assessment processes.
  • Keep accurate records of screenings and handle PII appropriately.
  • Conduct additional research when discrepancies arise during the verification process and communicate findings appropriately.
  • Perform additional contract and regulatory driver screening, credentialing activities and reporting in multiple states and markets.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that inform compliance activities.
  • Assist in investigations of potential driver violations of UZURV policies.
  • Utilize a variety of software applications of varying complexity in the performance of work processes.
  • Documents non-compliances in internal information system.
  • Collaborate across teams on corrective actions to address non-compliance issues.
  • Checks and verifies the accuracy of compliance related data within internal information systems.
  • Performs any other duties related to the job function as may be assigned by the Compliance Manager or any other senior official of the company
