About The Position

This internship focuses on compliance reporting, providing a student with hands-on experience in a key area of the oil and gas industry. The intern will learn to use the SAP accounting system and other relevant tools for data extraction and analysis. Responsibilities include assisting with the compilation of expense and production data for compliance filings and audits, performing special projects as assigned, and organizing file structures. The role also emphasizes adherence to company values, maintaining a positive attitude, protecting company information, and contributing to team efforts. The company is the largest privately-held oil and natural gas exploration and production company in the United States.

Requirements

  • No previous accounting or compliance experience required.
  • Detail-oriented problem-solver and comfortable working with numbers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Learn SAP accounting system and other tools for extracting and analyzing data.
  • Assist in compiling expense and production data associated with compliance reporting filings and audits.
  • Perform special projects as requested by compliance personnel.
  • Coordinate, organize, and manage file structures.
  • Adhere to established work schedule, attendance standards, and be punctual to work and meetings.
