About The Position

Service Oklahoma is looking for two Compliance Officers to join our team! A Compliance Officer is assigned responsibilities related to issuing, reinstating, or suspending Oklahoma driver licenses and state identification cards.

Requirements

  • Lead – Ability to oversee the work of and provide guidance to employees in the lower level; and to perform highly complex and independent work for all classes of motor vehicles and licensing.
  • Lead – Knowledge and understanding of time and leave management.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any field OR four (4) years of experience in driver education or safety, driver's license examining; or a similar field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any field, plus at least one (1) year in driver education or safety, driver's license examining; or a similar field OR five (5) years of experience in driver education or safety, driver's license examining; or a similar field OR equivalent combination of experience.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid Oklahoma Driver License is required.

  • This position may require occasional travel. The selected candidate must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel. State vehicles may be available, but reliable transportation may be required for local travel.
  • This position will work in a storefront setting or provide virtual sessions with customers. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild but will depend on customer traffic.
  • This position may require employees to be able to stand up to eight hours a day and lift 10-50 pounds on a regular basis, with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts driver license examinations (visual, written, and road examinations), and inspections to determine eligibility and qualification for driver’s licenses or state identification cards in compliance with state and federal regulations and in accordance with the guidelines established to protect the citizens of the United States and the State of Oklahoma.
  • Provides assistance to customers in the explanation of outstanding fines, fees, and documentation required to reinstating suspended or revoked driving privileges or applying for modified driving privileges.
  • Reinstates suspended or revoked driving privileges in accordance with Oklahoma law.
  • Upon request, assists the Legal Division in gathering information regarding driving records.
  • Provides input on potential changes to driver license laws, financial responsibility laws and other statutes affecting driving privileges.
  • Lead – Provided training to lower-level staff at their assigned location or other near-by locations.
  • Lead – Reviews timesheets each week for assigned team; identifies timesheet issues, notifies employees to make corrections; approves timesheets when they are accurately submitted within the weekly deadline provided.
  • Other duties as assigned.
