Reporting to the General Counsel, the Compliance Officer/ Title IX Coordinator serves as the Title IX Coordinator and holds primary responsibility for developing and implementing all university-wide policies and programs related to compliance with Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972, Equal Employment Opportunity (Title VII), Civil Rights Act (Title VI), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), workers compensation and campus equity and diversity programs. Duties include managing and/or conducting independent, objective, and timely investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, sexual and gender misconduct, bullying, retaliation, salary inequity, and all other allegations related to federal protections of protected persons and protected traits under the District of Columbia Human Rights Act. The Compliance Officer/ Title IX Coordinator will be the primary, point of contact for all university programs, activities, training, investigations, and reporting related to harassment, discrimination, sexual and gender misconduct, bullying, retaliation, salary inequity, and all other matters related to federal protections of protected persons and protected traits under the District of Columbia Human Rights Act. position will be responsible for immediately responding to Title IX allegations and overseeing compliance with the University’s Title IX procedure.
