The Compliance Monitoring Coordinator performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the Compliance Monitoring Team within the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), specifically the Division of Health Benefits (DHB). This position is responsible for handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism. The majority of time is allocated to tasks that involve calendar and meeting management, tracking and documentation of issues, and special projects analyzing various compliance matters. Work requires the ability to interpret and communicate information to meet specific needs of staff and external parties. The range of duties includes, but is not limited to, verifying data, report writing, summarizing and reconciling information or financial data, records management, data collection and analysis, research, or inventory of information/data. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, with approximately 17,000 employees, responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence. The Division of Health Benefits (DHB) manages and oversees North Carolina Medicaid and other programs, with a budget over $27 billion, serving 3.1 million beneficiaries.
