About The Position

As a Compliance Manager, you'll play a vital role in upholding our values by ensuring that our operations comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as industry regulations. We're committed to fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement, and we need your expertise to help us achieve these goals. We are looking for someone with a strong legal and compliance background who will use data, advanced technology (including AI), and financial services experience to help grow and build our compliance department.

Requirements

  • Analytical Thinking: You're adept at problem-solving and can analyze situations to develop effective solutions.
  • Team Leadership: You'll supervise other department staff and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure our compliance functions run smoothly.
  • Adaptability: In a fast-paced environment, you thrive on challenges and can make sound decisions independently.
  • A Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must have knowledge and experience of financial services and laws/regulations related to lending and loans

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and execution of SAFCO's compliance initiatives in compliance with CFPB guidance, state regulations, and federal guidelines
  • Oversee compliant management system. Respond to any customer complaints and investigate to propose any internal remediation steps or team member coaching
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring our operations remain ethical and lawful.
  • Facilitate training sessions to educate our team members on compliance regulations and best practices, empowering them to uphold our standards.
  • Design and manage quality assurance program ans scorecards for funding and collections team to test adherence to policy and relevant laws. Conduct periodic audits to evaluate our systems and procedures for regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to develop, modify, and maintain policies and procedures that align with our compliance program.
