About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring Customs compliance at a national level. The Compliance Manager works closely with the Customs Managers at the local level to ensure adherence to Customs regulatory requirements and internal policies within the DSV Customs Brokerage Department. The Compliance Manager conducts effective research, management, tracking, and reporting on Customs transactions to ensure a complete audit trail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with preference in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business, or equivalent.
  • US Customs Broker License
  • Experience with audit processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of USHTS, 19 CFR, and ACE portal.
  • Experience in developing and implementing Customs compliance programs and policies.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Customs compliance management.
  • The ability to learn and utilize software information systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with compliance management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific certifications, such as C-TPAT, AEO, or ISO.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the DSV Customs Compliance initiative.
  • Manage the DSV Customs Brokerage Operations at a national level.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program aligned with Customs regulations and DSV A/S, Inc. policies.
  • Monitor and assess compliance risks and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on Customs compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement compliance strategies.
  • Investigate and address compliance-related incidents, violations, and complaints.
  • Monitor regulatory & legislative changes within the industry to ensure the compliance program is up to date and DSV Customs brokerage Operations is performing to the current standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Lead and support internal investigations and audits related to compliance.
  • Develop and maintain effective compliance-related documentation and record-keeping.
